Zodiac is the leading supplier of pool equipment and chemicals in Australia. Having developed many unique patented technologies, they’re seen as a market leader in the pool care space - however this position was not reflected in their outdated website.
Zodiac engaged Tonic the Agency to redesign their online experience from the ground up. As the design lead on the project, I worked with client stakeholders at Zodiac to identify the needs of their business going forward before redesigning the website to meet these needs and the needs of their customers.
The visual design approach I took was to refine the existing Zodiac brand to better reflect their position as an innovator in pool technology whilst ensuring the site felt fun - after all that’s what owning a pool is all about!
The diagonal stroke in the Zodiac ‘Z’ became a key graphic element across the site.
The responsiveness of the design was a key priority from the beginning - with many users accessing the site on mobile devices as they maintain their pool.
Product pages were designed with both high-value items (such as robotic cleaners) and low value items (such as chemicals) in mind. The Zodiac team can display information about products using a range of different components.
The new Inspiration section of the website allows Zodiac’s dealers to show off some of their most impressive pools and the products used in their creation.
